Villa Maison Rouge

On the hillside of Saint-Jean, Villa Maison Rouge spreads its colonial-style architecture over several levels, facing the turquoise waters of the bay and the neighbouring hills. Inside, a contemporary décor plays on warm shades of red: leather sofas and deep armchairs in the air-conditioned living room, scarlet cabinets in the open kitchen. On the front terrace, a table for eight and a sheltered garden lounge look out over the bay, beside a long heated pool made for swimming with the view, lined with sun loungers in touches of turquoise. A little lower, a large jacuzzi sits next to a shaded daybed, in a tropical garden of palms and flowering shrubs. The three air-conditioned bedrooms, each in its own colour, aubergine, turquoise or red, with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms, sleep six; one occupies a separate bungalow, another has a private terrace. The beach and shops of Saint-Jean are close by.
