Villa Krystel

Perched on the heights of Lurin, Villa Krystel is a recently built contemporary home that takes in the whole of Saint-Jean Bay and the surrounding hills. The pared-back, airy interior centres on a large lounge that can be air-conditioned or opened entirely to the trade winds; two dining areas, one indoors around a round table, the other semi-open beside the kitchen with its island and breakfast bar, set the rhythm of meals. The heated pool runs the full length of the terrace, lined with loungers and a daybed facing the bay's many shades of blue. The four air-conditioned bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, sleep eight: two flank the living area, one occupies an independent bungalow and the last is on the lower level. A gym and a wine cellar complete the house, a few minutes from Saline and Gouverneur beaches.
