Villa Apiano

In Grand Fond, deep in lush tropical vegetation, Villa Apiano looks out over the valley and, in the distance, the ocean. Set entirely on one level, it gathers several brightly coloured bungalows around a central terrace. The lounge, dressed in wood panelling, carved wood and silky fabrics over terracotta floors, centres on a majestic grand piano; the vast equipped kitchen leads to a large wooden table beneath the covered terrace. Outside, the West Indian-style terrace is rich in detail: a stone-edged garden, palms, a hammock, loungers in the shade and a private pool at its heart, facing the green hills. The four air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, sleep eight in a Caribbean style with light, airy drapes. Close to Saline beach and restaurants, a very private retreat for a family or friends.
